The candidate of Progressive Social Networks (RSP) for mayor Gustavo A. Madero, Toshimi Hira, announced that the Electoral Institute of Mexico City (IECM) asked the capital’s government to provide him with protection, after a complaint he filed against the alleged political violence that he has suffered during his campaign.
In a conference, he presented the official letter SECG-IECM / 228/2021 where the institute requested the Secretary of Government, José Alfonso Suárez del Real, to mediate before the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) to provide him with an escort to keep him safe in his tours.
The president of RSP in Mexico City, Pedro Pablo de Antuñano, blamed the reelectionist candidate Francisco Chíguil, who is championed by the Coalition “Together We Will Make History”, which brings together Morena, PT and PVEM, responsible for these attacks.
