The Mexican artist Ivan Torres is the coordinator of the MACLA association, Sample of Latin American Art of Bordeaux, which has just inaugurated the exhibition ‘Master plants, rituals and biodiversity’ around which, and within the framework of America’s Week Latin America and the Caribbean in France, conferences, workshops and tastings will be held, all with coordination.
Ivab Torres, He was born in 1976 in Guadalajara, Mexico. Settled in France since 2004 resides and works in the city of Bordeaux. He studied journalism (written press, in Guadalajara). A self-taught painter, he sees his painting as a bridge between the origins of his family in Mexico and his daily gaze in France, which allows him to encourage and capture encounters with the public. He has exhibited in several French regions (Nouvelle Aquitaine, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, Center -Val de Loire), but also in several large metropolises around the world (Guadalajara-Mexico, Frankfurt-Germany, Barcelona-Spain, Tokyo -Japan and in Paris) He is also founder and coordinator of the Contemporary Latin American Art Show (MACLA), but also of various artistic and cultural events in Bordeaux.
