Bestensee (dpa) – Volleyball Bundesliga team Netzhoppers KW-Bestensee has signed another player for the coming season. The Portuguese José Jardim joins the Brandenburgers from the Austrian champions UVC Holding Graz, announced the Netzhoppers on Friday. Mario Schmidgall had previously moved from the German cup winner United Volleys Frankfurt to the Königs Wusterhausen team.
“We are convinced that José will implement our philosophy of a fast attack game and thus give us advantages in attack,” said Netzhoppers veteran Dirk Westphal about the new man. The 25-year-old Jardim, 1.85 meters tall, started his volleyball career in Portugal. In 2018 he moved to Austria to UVC Graz, where he distributed the balls for three years.
The pass position at Netzhoppers was vacant after Byron Keturakis and Kamil Droszynski, who were previously responsible for game design, left the club with an unknown goal after the previous season.
