New Delhi: Bollywood actor Salman Khan slapped a libel notice on controversial celebrity Kamaal Rashid Khan aka KRK. The lawsuit was filed in a Mumbai court against KRK, but the real reason for this decision is not his latest film “Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai”, as KRK claims on Twitter.
An official statement from Salman Khan’s legal team released and he mentions the reason why a libel action was brought against KRK. The statement says that because Kamaal R Khan attempted to defame the actor as “corrupt” and his “Being Human” brand was a fraud, Salman Khan decided to take legal action against the controversial celebrity.
Here is the statement from DSK Legal, defenders of Salman Khan and Salman Khan Ventures:
“Mr. Kamaal R Khan, the defendant, posted a series of tweets and videos alleging that Mr. Salman Khan sued him for libel because the defendant had watched the film, Radhe. This is incorrect. The complaint was filed as a defendant. publishes and approves defamatory allegations, including that Mr. Salman Khan is corrupt, that he and his “Being Human” brand are involved in fraud, manipulation and money laundering, that he and Salman Khan Films are dacoits. Lies and constant defamation of Mr. Salman Khan for several months, obviously in an attempt to draw attention to himself. Mr. Kamaal R Khan’s attorney said today in court that Mr. Kamaal R Khan “will not make any defamatory remarks against the plaintiff in social media on the following date. The court was pleased to pass an order taking into account this statement made by the lawyer for Mr. Kamaal R Khan. ”
Previously, KRK shared a photo from the legal opinion with a series of tweets, justifying its work as film reviews.
KRK even asked Salman’s father and veteran writer Salim Khan to ask his son not to pursue the case.
This is not the first time that KRK has courted controversy. On several occasions, he made the headlines for arresting various celebrities.
