The Limburg-Weilburg district was the only district in Hesse to have had a general decree since December 11, 2020, according to which corona tests had to be carried out regularly in facilities and also in hospitals. Since the state has created such obligations for the facilities in the meantime due to the Corona facility protection ordinance, corresponding regulations of the district for the hospitals are still in place. There are currently positive cases in the Evangelical Kita Blumenrod in Limburg, where quarantine has been ordered. There are also positive cases in the Eschhofen primary school, the Frickhofen center school, the Limburg Goetheschule, the Heinrich von Gagern school in Weilburg and the Johann Christian Senckenberg school in Villmar. Due to the hygiene measures taken, no quarantine was subsequently necessary in the schools.
In the Limburg-Weilburg district, 45,158 people have received the first vaccination and 19,318 the second vaccination. Around 700 people from our district were also vaccinated at the vaccination center in Wiesbaden. According to the Hessian Ministry for Social Affairs and Integration, 31,557 vaccinations were also carried out in general practitioners’ practices.
