Man arrested at Rotterdam Central Station died in cell | Inland

The police responded after a report of a nuisance was received. The man was taken to the detention center of the Doelwater bureau in Rotterdam. There he fell ill in a cell.

According to the Public Prosecution Service, the police officers immediately gave first aid, but that was in vain. The man died on the spot.

The National Criminal Investigation Department will investigate the man’s death. An autopsy and toxicological examination will be performed, among other things. The Public Prosecution Service does not want to make any further announcements.
