Belarusian border guards receive complaints from foreigners about the inability to fly out of the country.
The State Border Committee of Belarus announces a large number of requests from foreigners in connection with problems leaving the country after the introduction of the ban on flights. This is stated in the message on website departments on Wednesday 26 May.
“At present, the State Border Committee and the territorial bodies of the border service receive a significant number of requests from foreign citizens regarding their return to their place of permanent residence. Most of the issues are related to the cancellation of flights by a number of air carriers, as well as the introduction by foreign states of a ban on flights through the airspace of the Republic of Belarus. “, – the message says.
The Belarusian border guards note that the issues of returning foreigners home are “outside the competence of the border service”.
In this regard, foreigners are recommended to address the problems associated with returning home to the diplomatic missions and consular offices of their countries.
At the moment, the Belarusian airline Belavia canceled flights to seven countries… A number of European air carriers have stopped flights to and across the country.
Earlier today Belavia’s plane was not allowed into the airspace Poland.
