Haute-Garonne. She hires fake police officers to evict her tenants

Faced with bad paying tenants, the owner of an apartment in Launaguet, near Toulouse, has used great means.

Last Thursday, the young couple, in financial difficulties because of the health crisis, had a visit from two police officers asking them to leave the apartment and to follow them in custody, bailiff’s letter in hand, reports La Dépêche du Midi.

But the couple’s wife was not fooled. After having parleyed with the two men, she discreetly called the gendarmes, who went there.

Hired by the owner’s daughter

It must be said that the owner had put pressure on them recently to leave the apartment. The couple had also suffered suspicious damage to their vehicles in recent months.

Quickly, the gendarmes noticed that the police officers as well as the bailiff’s letter were forgeries.

The two men were arrested. They confessed to having been hired by the daughter of the owner of the apartment, a 60-year-old woman residing, like them, in Seine-Saint-Denis, to pretend to be false police officers.

Placed in police custody, they were indicted, as was the owner of the apartment. All three were imprisoned. The owner’s daughter was also taken into police custody.
