The very first ‘Digital Care Day’ will be on Tuesday 1 June 2021. On this day we bring beautiful stories, sharp visions of how digital care should be used in Dutch care. The Day of Digital Care is an initiative of Health.nl and HealthHuis.
Who is Digital Care Day for?
Digital Care Day is for everyone who is personally and / or professionally involved in health, illness and recovery. See the (near) future of the digital element as an enormous opportunity to help people better, also in Dutch healthcare.
Why a special Day for Digital Care?
We believe in innovation in healthcare, with extra attention to the right to use digital healthcare. New developments and technical inventions that ensure that people are treated better, get in touch with their care providers better and faster, recover more quickly and end up less in regular care. In doing so, we examine the right to receive digital support from the care provider (s).
The spotlight in the first edition on June 1, 2021 is mainly focused on the right of all Dutch people to access their own medical record Personal Health Environment (PGO):
- How is that arranged?
- Is this getting off the ground in the right way?
- Where has the ‘Electronic Patient Record’ (EPD) gone?
Webinar on Tuesday June 1, 2021, from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
On Digital Care Day, top speakers will present their vision of the future of digital care. During the (online) event, the following question will be asked at the kick-off of this first edition: “Does the Electronic Patient File still exist? Or is the Personal Health Environment (PGO) – the obligation of institutions to provide access to everyone’s digital file – a worthy replacement? ”
Speakers
During the webinar, Mark Veltink (Director at Zorggroep Boat), Harry Woldendorp (director at CuraeVitel Balie), Babette van der Veen (founder of Gouderdom), Enny van Arkel (director of Stichting Oud Geleerd Jong Gedaan) and Ronald Helder (founder of Stamtafel, initiator HealthHouse) at the table. Lisanne Spaander (inspirator, survivor, initiator HealthHouse) leads the conversation.
- Harry Woldendorp: “Thinking about healthcare without knowledge of digital healthcare leads to deterioration”.
- Mark Veltink: “The current quality of care can only be maintained through supporting ICT tools and better cooperation”.
Are you moving?
There are many positive developments going on in healthcare, prizes and subsidies are regularly awarded. Yet we believe that it can be even sharper. We believe in the power of bundling and moving. Together we stand stronger.
