During the youth camp of the Protestant Municipality of Rheden on the weekend of Ascension, 15 of the 37 participants became infected with Covid-19; three supervisors and twelve children. Primary school Rheder Enk in Rheden had to send two groups of students home last week, De Holtbanck five classes.
The corona rules allow for a youth camp. “Children do not have to keep their distance from each other,” explains GGD doctor Patrick van Schelven. “But our advice is still: use your common sense and don’t do it. The chance of infections during such a camp is high. There is more mutual contact and there are more travel movements. ”
