“Dear fans and friends:
As you may or may not know, several private conversations and interactions have been leaked online, maliciously posted by a third party who was not authorized to have or share them. Although I am ashamed of this, I want to face it as honestly as possible.
While not something I’m proud of, those adult interactions were taken out of context and manipulated to damage my reputation, my career, and my family.
The other person involved has made a statement that you can see below. I thank you for doing so and I hope this makes it clear that the situation is not as it was presented.
Your server,
David Ellefson”.
Along with Ellefson’s statements is a photograph of the statements of the other person involved in the exchange, which reads as follows: “I’m the girl people are talking about in the David Ellefson posts right now and I just want to tell my side of the story, because people are sharing false information and the situation is getting out of hand without being told. the truth”.
“Yes, those video calls took place, but I was the one who started them and in none of them was I a minor, I was always an adult who gave her consent. Nothing inappropriate happened after that. Everything was consensual. I am not a victim nor have I been deceived in any way, since I started it all. Yes, I was innocent enough to record it and share it with a friend of mine without their permission. In the end, everything was consensual and online ”.
“I don’t know how we got to this, but a lot of information has been posted by people trying to hurt her. I want to ask all the people who are sharing those private videos or false information about them to stop. “
Ellefson’s Journey with Megadeth
Dave Ellefson was with Megadeth from the band’s inception in 1983 to 2002When the group broke up due to various health problems suffered by Mustaine, he was unable to play guitar for a time.
Mustaine re-formed Megadeth 17 years ago. Although, at first, the musician wanted to record a solo album, in the end he ended up reforming his group and publishing ‘The System Has Failed’ in 2004.
Just that year, Ellefson sued Dave Mustaine for $ 18.5 million, claiming that the frontman had paid him less in royalties after the band disbanded in 2002. However, the lawsuit was unsuccessful and Ellefson returned to Megadeth in 2010.
