The Turkish Ministry of Health is ready to administer more than 1 million doses of vaccines against KOVID-19 daily, Turkish television CNN-Turk reported, quoted by BTA.
According to CNN-Turk, 85 percent of people over the age of 65 have already been immunized in Turkey.
At the same time, young people’s interest in vaccination is much lower, but health authorities plan to form special teams to convince young people of the benefits of vaccines against KOVID-19.
Vaccines can be given in 1,500 public and private hospitals, as well as in very small clinics.
So far, more than 28 million people have been vaccinated in Turkey. The vaccination campaign began in January. In the country they are vaccinated with the preparations of the Chinese company Sinovac and Pfizer / Biontech. Deliveries of the Russian Sputnik V are expected in Turkey soon.
The total number of vaccinated in the country is expected to reach 50 million in June, and this campaign will continue in June and August.
Some calm regarding the spread of KOVID-19 in the country is expected to be achieved when 70 percent of the population is vaccinated, CNN-Turk notes.
Authorities also plan for people who have been vaccinated to be able to attend cinemas and theaters without difficulty. Vaccinated people will be able to stay without masks in the halls.
