Austrian night train returns after more than six months

After an interruption of more than six months, the night train between Belgium and Austria returns. On Tuesday evening, another ‘Nightjet’ leaves in the Austrian capital Vienna with destination Belgium, where it arrives on Wednesday.

The Austrian railway company ÖBB launched the night train connections between Austria and Belgium at the beginning of 2020. But since the beginning of November the connection had been suspended due to the corona virus.

The night train will run three times a week. Arrival and departure in Belgium (Brussels South, Brussels North and Liège) are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, according to the Nightjet website.

Initially, the Nightjet also ran from Innsbruck to Brussels, but that connection has now been abolished.
