The G series printer is a printer type from Canon with a refillable ink tank system. This time, Canon presents two new generation G series printers that have a 6-color ink tank system. In addition to Cyan, Magenta and Yellow inks, the PIXMA G570 and G670 are equipped with Black, Gray and Red inks to produce richer colors.
Red ink (Red) provides a stunning red effect like in a sunset photo, or a red sheen on the body of a car that creates a luxurious impression. Gray ink (Gray) provides consistent accuracy in every print, and black ink (Black) enhances the contrast and focus of the subject from the background.

PIXMA G570 and G670 are specially designed to meet the needs of high print volume with quality results, but still economical in terms of printing costs per sheet. The ink capacity of these two printers is capable of printing up to 3,800 sheets of 4×6 inch borderless photos, providing more efficient printing costs.
Apart from having a new 6-color ink system, the new ink bottle designs also come with a unique shape of nozzles, which only fit into the mouth of each color’s tank. In addition to avoiding mistakes when filling ink, it also makes ink filling faster and spills-proof. The integrated ink tank also makes it easier for users to see the remaining ink level.
Both printers also have a modular design with components that can be replaced easily by the user, such as replacing the print head and absorber (maintenance cartridge) after long-term use. This will be very helpful and save time because users do not have to bother bringing the printer to the service center.
The PIXMA G670 adds scan and copy functions in addition to printing, in contrast to the PIXMA G570 which only offers printing. Both are equipped with wireless technology so that users can directly print various photo collections on smartphones, simply by using the Canon PRINT Inkjet / SELPHY application, without having to connect a printer and computer first.
For users who want to be creative with printed results, such as printing photographs, arranging photo layouts, decorating calendars with photos and printing postcards, can use the Easy-PhotoPrint Editor application for iOS, Android OS, Windows and Mac OS platforms.
Users who want to create posters and flyers for business promotion needs can use the PosterArtist Lite application. In this application users can download more than 1,300 templates, photos and clip art for free. Users can also use the Mopria application (specifically for Android) to print photos, documents and email via an Android device.
