Among Paraguay’s trade partners in foreign trade, Brazil, Argentina and China are the main countries with the main destinations and origins of trade, according to the report published by the Integration Directorate of the Undersecretariat of State for the Economy under the Ministry of Finance.

It should be noted that in the global context, the delay in the ratification of the trade agreement signed two years ago between the European Union and Mercosur leaves an important advantage for China to enter Latin American markets and multiply its trade in raw materials.
According to data from January to April of this year, Brazil has 28.5% of the participation, Argentina 19.4% and in third place China with 15.7% despite the fact that the country does not have diplomatic relations with the Asian giant. Chile is in fourth place with 5.4%, the United States is in fifth place with 4.8% and Russia and Uruguay are with 2.5% and 2.3% respectively.
