BANGALORE, India and COVENTRY, United Kingdom
L&T Technology Services Limited (BSE: 540115, NSE: LTTS), a leading global engineering services company, announced that it has signed a collaboration agreement with Coventry University in the UK to build and deliver a new generation of technical solutions to the automotive and manufacturing sectors.
As part of the partnership, studies of autonomous mobility solutions and vehicle dynamics will be carried out in order to strengthen LTTS ‘technological capabilities for their global customers. In particular, LTTS and Coventry University will work together to develop technologies and deepen skills in the areas of autonomous driving, electric vehicles and software-defined vehicles.
In addition, the university will enable LTTS engineers to gain advanced knowledge of automotive and manufacturing technologies and sustainability to better address the myriad of challenges associated with technology upgrades.
The partnership aims to lead like-minded experts to work together to research and develop new products, processes and services, build a talent pool that will impact the local and global economies, and a working relationship that connects two global organizations to drive change in the transport sector. The university’s contribution is led by the IFTC, which conducts research in the fields of traffic design, electric, connected and autonomous vehicles, cybersecurity and manufacturing technologies.
Abhishek Sinha, Chief Operating Officer and Board Member of L&T Technology Services, said: “The potential of technology and engineering to positively influence our lives is only limited by the imagination. LTTS ‘GLOCAL (Global + Local) strategy has helped strengthen relationships around the world by breaking barriers and deepening the regional ecosystem of a talent pool and the local economy. The IFTC-LTTS alliance aims to accelerate new mobility solutions for the transportation industry around the world, including aspects of safety and convenience that millions of commuters can benefit from. LTTS is excited to work with Coventry University to write a new chapter in transportation services in the UK and around the world. ”
Coventry University Assistant Vice Chancellor (Research) Professor Richard Dashwood said: “This partnership with LTTS underscores the university’s commitment to research with impact and steers the scope of our academic expertise to support the areas where we can make a real difference. As one of the world’s leading providers of engineering and technology services, LTTS is a natural partner for Coventry University. I look forward to supporting this relationship as it encompasses all relevant topics in our research portfolio. ”
