Making a grand coalition is not an easy job and requires a lot of diplomacy, dialogue and mutual respect. In order to avoid speculation and wrong suggestions, an alliance between “BSP for Bulgaria” and “Movement 21” did not take place for three reasons. in his Facebook account the chairman of the Socialist Party Cornelia Ninova.
According to her, Tatiana Doncheva asked the negotiating team three things:
- To change the name of the coalition and to call it “BSP for Bulgaria – D21”. This could have blocked our participation in the elections at all, as the subscription of 10,000 signatures for registration has already been collected for the old name and until 26.05 there is no time for a new subscription and registration with a new name. Apart from that, it is quite unfair to the others, with the participation of seven or more parties, only for “Movement 21” to appear in the name.
- To be co-chair of the coalition. The other 6 party presidents naturally did not agree to be bystanders. And it is not fair to them, with some of whom we have been together for many years.
- To get two leadership positions for her and her deputy and three at the eligible border, plus a guaranteed subsidy, which is not available to everyone. “
“Everyone has the right to choose. I wish success to all participants in the elections. Today we continue to sign agreements with other parties and civic structures on the left,” Ninova added.
