Kyana Theite (20) likes to be physically active since childhood and likes to help other people. It was logical that she chose Sport and Exercise at Howest as a study program. “As a child I liked nothing more than to dance and move and I danced like that for nine years,” she says. “But I also go running, inline skating, hiking and sometimes do a home workout. After all, I don’t just want to discover new sports, I am also open to new challenges. ”“ My thesis was about videos explaining how someone with low back pain can do the right exercises. I am currently doing an internship at Kinezi in Poperinge as a personal trainer. ”Someone who can be followed up for six months has a greater chance of persevering“ Due to the corona measures, we are all limited in how we spend our free time. I also had and still have a lot of free hours and so I discovered even more YouTube and Instagram where I post self-made photos and videos. That’s how I also found the passion to share workouts, motivation and tips with people via Instagram. ”Convincing people“ In these times there are already a lot of people who want to exercise and exercise. And I am really very happy about that. I get to know people in this way and then make schedules for them. People want to exercise, exercise or train to lose weight or to gain muscle mass, or just to feel better. This can be done through yoga or walking or adapted exercises. Many young people or adults also sit at a desk all day and it is important to keep moving there too. And sometimes people really need to be encouraged or even convinced to do some exercise or sport. ”Exercise and sports can become a habit, but according to Kyana, that really needs to be learned. “Someone who can be followed up for six months has a greater chance of cultivating and maintaining that healthy habit. I hope that after corona people will not revert to their old habits and that they will continue to exercise and exercise. ”“ During my videos I show what I eat, and how I exercise and exercise. I also show what is good for other people who have more or less time. From September I actually want to become a personal trainer, in order to reach as many people as possible with an individual and especially adapted program and certainly also to help in what they want to achieve. ” (PC)
