The vaccination campaign against coronavirus in the Valencian Community it continues at cruising speed. This week they have begun to vaccinate those over 50 and under 60. In just two weeks the first doses will begin to be administered to those over 40 and in July it was announced that they will begin to vaccinate Valencians aged between 30 and 40. Vaccination is unstoppable. Almost 40% of the 4.26 million Valencians called to be vaccinated have already received at least one dose of the serum. In total, 1,668,460 Valencians have already been vaccinated with at least one of the two doses scheduled to achieve immunity greater than 90%.
By age groups, 100% of those over 80 have received both doses. In recent weeks, much progress has been made in vaccinating the age group between 60 and 69 years. Right now almost 87% of those who are this age have already received the first dose of AstraZeneca. In total, more than 504,000 people of this age have already been vaccinated.
For their part, more than 96% of Valencians between the ages of 70 and 79 have already received at least the first dose of the vaccine. Health efforts have paid off and are now focused on increasing the threshold of vaccinated over 70 with the two doses. The latest data confirm that 77% of this group have received the complete regimen and are fully immunized.
The Valencian Community has administered a total of 2,436,735 doses of the coronavirus vaccine. By provinces: 282,931 in Castellón, 898,940 in Alicante and 1,254,864 in Valencia. They have received the complete immunization schedule (two doses for Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca; and the single dose from Janssen) 787,954 people.
