The man who was shot last Wednesday in Broek in Waterland after a violent robbery in Noord, is a Frenchman of 47 years old. The Public Prosecution Service announced this today.

Officers arrested a total of six men. That happened, among other things, after one violent pursuit which ended in Broek in Waterland. Five suspects arrested are aged between 24 and 40, three of them from France and two from Belgium. The identity of the last suspect has not yet been established.
Injured
Two of the six suspects arrested were injured. One of them was slightly injured, according to the OM. The other is still in hospital, but will probably be discharged soon. “As usual, the National Criminal Investigation Department is investigating whether the use of firearms by the officers was lawful”, the Public Prosecution Service said.
The six were brought before the examining magistrate today. He has decided that they will remain in prison for at least another fourteen days.
Precious metals
On the robbery precious metals were taken along on the valuables transport, which was located on the site of a company on Meeuwenlaan in Noord. The police assume all the loot to have recovered. Some of the targeted loot also seemed to have not been taken.
According to the OM, at least three more suspects are being sought. Earlier there was talk of at least two fugitive suspects.
