New breakthrough between 70-79 year olds

Vaccination against the coronavirus continues to advance in Galicia and yesterday afternoon the Ministry of Health confirmed that on Thursday another 25,450 doses of the vaccine had been administered in the community, focused especially on the group of people between 70 and 79 years old. This group is getting closer to full immunization as 94.04% of its members have received both doses of Pfizer or Moderna.

From Thursday to Friday, the total number of Galicians of vaccination age with at least one dose has risen from 47.03% on Thursday to 47.22% today, 0.19% more. The total number of Galicians over 16 years of age with the complete guideline has progressed from 24.63% to 25.53%, an advance of 0.9%. Adding both progress, vaccination against COVID-19 has advanced by 0.595% in total.

The doses administered on Thursday are concentrated in these groups:

• Those over 80 years of age are 100% vaccinated. The group of people between 70 and 79 years old takes another big step in receiving the complete guideline. Their percentage of first doses has progressed from 97.58% to 97.66%, while his percentage of complete guideline has risen from 87.03% to 94.04%.

• In total, the group of people over 60 years of age has already received the first dose of the vaccine in 96.33% of cases, and 60.76% already have the complete regimen.
• The 50 to 59-year-old group that is now receiving first doses made little progress in recent days, going only from 41.37% to 41.53% with the first dose, and from 6.88% to 6.93% with the second. dose.
• The rest of the age groups show minimal variations.

The pending Astrazeneca will begin to be administered soon
