Several weeks after the large rallies against the 2021 school map, in February and March 2020, parents of pupils and teachers from Creuse are mobilizing again in Guéret. About twenty elected municipal and union representatives met in the middle of the morning in front of the town hall of Guéret.
Since March, negotiations have not advanced between the inspection of the academy and the opponents of the 2021 school map project for the Creuse. Latest progress for the unions, the rescue of two classes threatened with closure, in Saint-Alpinien and Aubusson. Eight classes must always close at the start of the next school year.
The next CDEN (Departmental Council for National Education) should be held on May 27. The unions (Snu-Ipp, FO and CGT) intend to put their demands back on the table at that time: they are asking for the cancellation of the planned closures, and more resources for the eight RASED units (Network of specialized aid to pupils in difficulty) from the Creuse.
To continue to put pressure on the Limoges academy, the intersyndicale calls for a rally on May 29, at Celle-Dunoise.
