As you know, the BMW M3 E36 is produced in coupe, convertible and sedan versions. However, the engineers of the Bavarian brand also pay attention to the BMW 3er Compact hatchback. The fact is that this is the lightest of all BMW E36s.
The car weighs 150 kg less than the coupe. A standard 3.2-liter S50B32 engine is mounted under the hood. The six has a power of 321 hp. and is paired with a six-speed manual transmission.

The suspension, steering and brakes have also been rearranged by the regular BMW M3 E36. The interior is finished with Alcantara and even sports seats with a carbon frame are installed.

The developers are very happy with the “little rocket”, but marketers are of a different opinion. According to them, few people will buy a BMW M3 Compact and for this reason the project is closed.
