There are good intentions to fight corruption in Honduras, but unfortunately nothing will happen

Radio America. In the opinion of lawyer Abel Orellana, although there are other nations’ intentions to collaborate with Honduras to fight corruption, but unfortunately that will only be good deeds in the country.

«The good intention that other countries have to be part of the internal justice of Honduras is welcome, but for that it does not pay and nothing will happen because every nation is governed by its own laws, then, that means nothing more to see them in newspapers or in social networks and in the media ”.

In this context, the legal professional asserted that the list of corrupt officials such as the one presented two days ago by US Congresswoman Norma Torres, does not influence a judge to deduct responsibility against those involved in illegal actions.

For the interviewee, the deduction of responsibilities against corruption must be on the part of the Honduran authorities, “but unfortunately we have a Prosecutor’s Office accommodated to the judicial regime and that dances to the tune dictated to the head of the three powers of the State.”
