15min wrote in early May that D.Nausėdienė, 56, has not yet been vaccinated against coronavirus.
Representatives of the presidency once said that it intends to register the vaccine in the near future. But so far it has not done so.
On Friday, G.Nausėda, who is visiting Klaipėda district with his wife in Dovilai, told reporters that D.Nausėdienė has not been vaccinated yet for a very simple reason.
“Diana can’t get vaccinated yet because her family doctor advised her not to do so temporarily. I can’t give reasons, because it’s the protection of personal data and health, “he explained.
According to the President, as soon as the family doctor advises the spouse that vaccination against COVID-19 is possible, D. Nausėdienė will do it at the same minute.
“She trusts all vaccines and is ready to get vaccinated,” G. Nausėda assured.
At the same time, the head of state stressed that he was very disappointed that the young politician G. Landsbergis had gone “on such a low, obscene path and is starting to blame people without even fully understanding the situation and not even trying to understand it”.

“I would like to wish, because after all, a person is still quite young, to draw some conclusions and realize that politics is not just about creating intrigues, knitting, power games, writing and making clues. This is more because it will all have to be left behind.
And when you look back and see that there are only these things, it will be quite a disappointing moment. And if that happens, then, you know, it’s no longer politics. This is a word that also starts with the letter “p” and ends with the letter “a”, only longer, – commented G.Nausėda.
The second dose is in mid-June
G. Nausėda was vaccinated against the coronovirus AstraZeneca vaccine on March 22.
The second dose of the vaccine was given to the president 12 weeks later – in mid-June.

After reports of possible clots forming after the manufacturer’s vaccine, demonstrating that he trusts the AstraZeneca vaccine and encouraging the public not to be afraid of it, other heads of state were vaccinated: Speaker of the Seimas Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė, ministers, parliamentarians.
G.Nausėda was vaccinated at the Polyclinic of the Center.
“I really believe that all four vaccines that have already been approved are reliable, effective, and really provide benefits that help protect against the severe consequences of the virus. This is the most important.
I strongly urge people not to waste, not wait, not to think, to go for the vaccine they want to get vaccinated with. That way, you anticipate fate out of sight. What you may know is maybe all will be well, but maybe a virus is waiting for you around the corner. And he is waiting for you in the next few days, “the president said.
