Former Czech football representative Vladimír Šmicer has given up his candidacy for chairman of the Czech Football Association. He also supported the candidacy of Petr Fousek.

Apart from Fousek, only another former successful representative, Karel Poborský, remained in the game for the post of the head of the Czech football. Delegates will elect the Chairman of the FACR at the General Assembly on June 3.

However, the 47-year-old Šmicer, vice-champion of Europe in 1996 and winner of the Champions League with FC Liverpool is still interested in a position on the executive committee.
