Today is the last cold day of the month, and from tomorrow it is expected to warm up to 30 degrees. Viewers really won’t believe that it will be 30 degrees tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. Not so much tomorrow, but the warming begins, explained Prof. Georgi Rachev on BTV in his typical joking style.
According to him, at the moment, while it is cold in our country, it is much warmer in Moscow than in the Balkans. In Arkhangelsk, for example, which is 3,000 km to the north, it is 30 degrees. From tomorrow, however, the temperature will return to normal and cool to the typical 0 degrees.
On Sunday at noon the weather will be wonderful, nice, warm and sunny, explained Prof. Rachev. This time will continue on May 24 and on Tuesday.
However, the sea water is quite cold, because the wind will blow the thin warm layer and bottom water will come out.
The medium-term forecast shows that good weather awaits us in June, suitable even for the sea. According to Prof. Rachev, these are the last cold days.
At the same time, one of the big topics in climate change is the huge iceberg that has broken away from Antarctica. According to Prof. Rachev, however, this is not a problem. It would be a problem if there were no icebergs. According to him, Antarctica is a huge cream cake, the ice sticks to it, and sometimes – over a period of years, it breaks off just like a piece of cream. However, these are natural processes, explained Prof. Rachev.
Melting ice in Greenland is scarier. There is already an uncovered surface of the earth, which attracts more light and thus warms up.
