Lyon-Villeurbanne strong winger Guerschon Yabusele (25) has been selected by coach Vincent Collet to compete in the Tokyo Olympic Games this summer (July 23 – August 9).
The Drouais, passed through the NBA with the Boston Celtics, is therefore one of the twelve Blues who will try to climb on the Olympic podium. A medal at the Games has fled France for twenty-one years and the Olympics-2000 in Sydney (finalist against the United States, beaten 85-75).

It’s a fair reward for the best 3-point shooter in the Jeep Elite (56%) who won his first major trophy a few weeks ago by winning the Coupe de France with Asvel, against Dijon.
Yabusele and the Blues will start their preparation on June 23 with in particular a double confrontation against Spain. At the Tokyo Olympics, France does not yet know all its opponents, but it will start the competition with the big favorite, the United States, on July 25.
Dreux wrestler Mathilde Rivière at the Tokyo Olympics
Guerschon Yabusele is the second Eurelian athlete to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics after Drouaise wrestler Mathilde Rivière. This duo should be joined by the handball player of Toury Valentin Porte (Montpellier) and perhaps by the footballer of Jouy Adrien Truffert.
