The youth work camps, organized by the Vittel municipal center for social action since 2016, are back this year with a large-scale project, which will take place over two years. For six weeks, from July 19 to August 27, 24 young people residing in Vittel and aged 15 to 17, will be able to participate in the renovation of a pedestrian path located behind the Resources House, in collaboration with the city’s technical services. The objective: “to involve young people in the community by transmitting to them the values of work”, indicates Franck Perry, the mayor.
“Each week, four young people will be welcomed over five mornings, from 8 am to 12 noon. They will also have to participate in two health prevention afternoons: a theater workshop on the theme of well-being, another on sophrology, ”explains Sylvie Vincent, assistant for solidarity and social actions. In return, participants will receive a voucher of 120 € to finance their personal project, explained in advance in their application. “It can be the passage of the code, the license, or the purchase of a computer for example”. The files must be collected and left at the Maison Ressources before June 18 or on the City’s website.
