In the short film Love Should Not Hurt Melanie Brown, as she is actually called, is severely beaten by a man. It is therefore not surprising that her daughter was shocked when she saw her mother beaten and bloodied on the images – which she herself found on the internet. According to Mel B’s ex-husband Stephan Belafonte, the video impressed the girl so much that she no longer wants to go to her mother during the summer vacation. The poor child would have started crying.
Mel and Stephen divorced in December 2017, but are still fighting for custody almost four years later. One of the things they can’t agree on is whether their daughter Madison is allowed to fly alone: he lives in Los Angeles and she in London.

Melanie has previously accused her husband of assaulting her on several occasions, but eventually dropped the charges. That is why it is now also possible for him to share custody of their daughter.
