The Xiaomi Redmi Note series reached 200 million sales

Xiaomi announced an impressive feat today – the company has sold 200 million Redmi Note phones worldwide. This series was the best-selling series from its maker since the first Redmi Note arrived in March 2014 and was the driving force that pushed Xiaomi to the third position in the world.

The company also announced that China will finally get the Note 10 series on May 26, and the country might get a new device too, according to an official poster on Weibo.

The phone seen in this photo has three cameras arranged vertically. Even though it looks like the regular Redmi Note 10 5G, the dual LED flash is actually in a slightly elevated position, suggesting a different interior and perhaps more changes. We’ll have to wait until next week to hear the full details.

As Redmi prepares for the domestic launch of the Note 10, its CEO reveals another milestone – 45.2 million Note 9 phones have been sold worldwide, which translates to more than 20% of the total 200 million sold since 2014.

This speaks of the scale of the growing popularity of the affordable Xiaomi brand and we can only assume that it will go up due to the fact that the Redmi Note 10 Pro and its siblings are among the hottest offerings this year.
