The national team tournament will take place between June 13 and July 10, 2021. For the first time in history, the competition will be held in two countries. Despite the health crisis in Argentina and the political crisis in Colombia, Conmebol has ratified the headquarters.
The fans of the national team will be able to watch the Copa América matches through TC Television and DirecTV. The 47th edition of the tournament will begin on June 13, at the Monumental Stadium in Buenos Aires, with the match between Argentina and Chile for Group A.
For the first time in history, the South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) defined a joint venue for the tournament. Eight cities between Argentina and Colombia, they plan to host all 28 Copa América matches.
In Ecuador, the tournament will be viewed through two platforms: TC Television in open signal and DirecTV in pay television. Each one with its own characteristics.
TC will broadcast nine games in open signal, including those from Ecuador, with production by El Canal del Fútbol. This was confirmed by Gabriela Alcívar, marketing and communication coordinator of El Canal del Fútbol.
“The opening match, all Ecuador matches, the two semifinals, the final, the third place and the quarterfinal match will be broadcast, if Ecuador advances,” Alcívar told PRIMICIAS.
For its part, DirecTV will broadcast the entire tournament in high definition and at the same time it will broadcast the Eurocup, which is played on the same dates as the America’s Cup.
José Antonio Cárdenas, programming manager of DirecTV Ecuador and Colombia, explains that between June 11 and July 11, the operator will broadcast 79 games, 45 of them in 4K definition and 68 will have an interactive mosaic.
“In the mosaic we have three screens: the transmission of the game, the tactical camera and the highlights (highlights). In addition, you can choose between three different stories, ”says Cárdenas.
Since the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, DirecTV offers its subscribers the possibility of choosing the audio of the transmission. The parties in Ecuador will be reported by Daniel Navas and commented by Roberto Bonafont.

On the radio, the Copa América can be heard through the Round Radio and other stations of the Juntos a Catar consortium, as confirmed by Esteban Ávila, director of the Radonda.
“We are the owners of the rights to the Copa América for Ecuador and we are in talks to distribute it to other stations. It will depend on the arrangements that can be reached. The current moment demands that the Copa América be heard on as many radios as possible ”, Ávila told PRIMICIAS.

The Copa América can also be followed through FIRST FRUITS. The fans of the Ecuadorian team will be able to find the match schedule, the standings and scorers table, statistics and the minute by minute of the 28 matches.
