Seine-Saint-Denis is shifting into high gear. Like 22 other French departments under “enhanced surveillance”, the community has received new doses of Covid-19 vaccine to be injected this weekend of March 6 and 7.
5,500 doses to be injected this weekend
In total, 5,500 doses have been allocated to the territory, announces the prefecture of Seine-Saint-Denis. They will be injected this weekend to people over 75 years old For the occasion, most vaccination centers will remain open exceptionally on Saturday and Sunday, sometimes at night until 8 p.m.
Vaccination will be particularly increased with the opening of new injection sites in Aulnay-sous-Bois (Pierre Scohy gymnasium), Saint-Denis (room of the Legion of Honor), or even Clichy-sous-Bois, thanks to “the commitment of the State, town halls, municipal agents and caregivers”, underlines the prefecture. New vaccination centers will also open next week in the departement.
In total, more than 51,000 doses of Pfizer have been allocated to Île-de-France for this massive vaccination operation in two days, around 100 centers will be opened in the region.
