JUNE 28, THE DAY
Editorial Tierra Nueva announced that on Monday, June 28, the first installment of what has been called “Río Marañón”, the series of books by Amazonian authors will be presented in Iquitos with which the Bicentennial will be celebrated.
At Pro & Contra, a kind of older brother of the publisher, we want to celebrate this announcement by showing a photo (2006) of one of the main authors of Tierra Nueva: Gerald Rodríguez Noriega. Front and profile.
Like Gerald, several authors have made public their joy at the publication. Not as authors, only, but as readers and as teachers. In truth, in a region where reading is not the norm, all of us linked to books have to rejoice. So, between San Juan and San Pedro, there will be reasons to celebrate.
