Rose to fame in the 1972 comedy ‘The Heartbreak kid’, but also shone in ‘Figa at midnight’, ‘The girl in red’, ‘Heaven can wait’, among others.
In the 90s he returned as the protagonist in the ‘Beethoven’ saga, which narrated the life of a family that adopts a huge Saint Bernard dog.
He was also a commentator on the ’60 minutes’ program, authored several books, and was even a columnist for the New York Daily News.
He later retired from the cameras to dedicate himself to his family, but he left a great legacy.
