Chelsea have failed in their attempt to be champion in the first two finals they have played this season, which is why they will be under pressure to face their third, and most important, against Manchester City. Their first and most recent setback was suffered by the English side against Leicester City, in the final of the FA Cup, the most traditional tournament in England.
Chelsea suffered their second stumble in the title battle of the Women’s Champions League, when they were erased from the field in the first half by Barcelona of Spain, who prescribed a 4-0 win. The saying goes that the third time is the charm and Chelsea will try to remove the thorn against Manchester City, in what will be the final of the European Champions League between teams from the same country of the most important club tournament in the world. Of course, the picture is not looking easy for Chelsea, as their opponent, who is led by prominent Spanish coach Pep Guardiola, will reach the final with the Premier League champion tag. The positive for Chelsea, who won their last cup in 2012 when they beat Bayern Munich in a series of penalties in the final, is the precedent that in the FA Cup semifinal they beat Man City, in proof that they can also be worthy aspirants to the Orejona.

And the truth of things, if Chelsea does not want to close 2021 with three lost finals, against City they will have to show their best football version, and if that happens, the top winners will be the thousands of fans who will enjoy this match that promises great emotions next May 29.
GRIP. If the quarterfinal phase of the Liga MX fulfilled its exciting duels, when starting the semifinal tonight with the Cruz Azul vs. Pachuca, the feeling must be the same or higher. The celestial machine, a great favorite to be crowned, enters the field of a fiery tuzo that wants to eliminate the third so-called big club in Mexico. Undoubtedly, it is a series full of interest, since Cruz Azul has been the protagonist of this edition, but Pachuca is the table that has had the best closing of the calendar and league. We like it so that the pass fits the celestial ones.
HUG. It is the one that we send to our excellent friend of many years, pride of the Pipíma and idolized by the teams of veterans of the UAS, the legendary and fine defender Jorge Enrique “Patarras” Verdugo, on his 71st birthday yesterday. This popular character had us used to great celebrations on his birthday, but the pandemic stopped them since last year. It is very likely that his university friends, who are already going out to the fields, will promote something for him for next week, and of course we will be there to physically give my good Patarrín Verdugo a hug.
CONDOLENCE. We learned of the unfortunate departure of a loyal fan of the Careada de los Jueves, Don Raúl Mejía Cuenca, at the age of 91. In addition, the deceased was the father-in-law of the prominent forward Ramiro López. For all his family, our condolences and rest in peace Don Raúl.
REFLECTION: It is not about turning the world upside down to achieve change, the change is yourself.
