Mainfranken: outdoor swimming pools before opening

The open-air swimming pools in the Free State of Bavaria are allowed to open from Friday – this announcement by Prime Minister Markus Söder is pleased with the pool operators in the region. However – according to the unanimous tenor – the written approval from Munich must first be available. This should also contain the specifications for a corresponding hygiene concept. The outdoor pools in Kitzingen, Lohr or Gemünden would theoretically be ready to go on Friday. The Würzburg Dallenbergbad wants to open its doors next Monday. The Zellingen open-air swimming pool needs a little longer: work is currently underway there on a new water slide. Here the pool is expected to open its doors to small and large water rats on May 29th.

The prerequisite for opening is a 7-day incidence of less than 100. The Würzburg, Main-Spessart and Kitzingen currently have. Visitors must book an appointment and keep a minimum distance. If the incidence is between 50 and 100, a negative corona test must be presented, below 50 this is not applicable.
