Instead, Microsoft will integrate the features in Windows 10X into Windows and other products.

The company has started implementing some of these on build Windows Insider previews, such as the new application container technology in Microsoft Defender Application Guard.

Then an enhanced Voice Typing experience, and a modern touch keyboard with optimized key sizes, sounds, colors and animations.

Windows 10X is meant to be a stripped down version of Windows 10 specifically designed for dual screen devices, such as the Surface Neo.

Then earlier this year, Microsoft announced that Windows 10X would be made for single-screen laptops instead.

Currently, Microsoft is in the process of rolling out the latest 21H1 update for Windows 10, which is a relatively minor update, with a bigger update planned for October.
