Epidemiological report:
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), 14,201 analyzes were carried out today and 3,128 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected.
Of the 3,128 new cases, 1,425 are from Montevideo, 355 from Canelones, 205 from Salto, 147 from Colonia, 144 from Maldonado, 121 from San José, 110 from Tacuarembó, 101 from Paysandú, 90 from Soriano, 78 from Artigas, 69 from Florida, 62 from Durazno, 60 from Rivera, 40 from Rocha, 37 from Cerro Largo, 26 from Flores, 23 from Río Negro, 20 from Lavalleja and 15 from Treinta y Tres.
Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 2,030,566 tests have been processed and 246,026 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 214,578 have already been recovered.
Today 57 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country (table with detail is attached). So far there are 3,578 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.
Currently there are 27,870 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease, 498 of them are in critical care centers.
Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 7,246 correspond to health personnel. 6,896 of them have already recovered, 331 are suffering from the disease and 19 have died.
As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.
CLARIFICATION:
The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 242,906. Today 3,128 new cases and a total of 246,026 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because, according to the MSP, 8 cases were eliminated.
