The record was held by Gerben Oevermans since last year. He walked the Pieterpad in over 88 hours. A few days before Van der Vleuten’s trip, a new record time of 84 hours was set by Teun Geurts.
Ultra runner Irene Kinnegim also wanted to set a record time last week, but she had to drop out due to an injury.
