Boston levels streak against Raffl’s Washington Capitals

The Washington Capitals with the Villach striker Michael Raffl had to accept the equalization in the first play-off round of the North American ice hockey league NHL. The Capitals lost to the Boston Bruins 3: 4 after extra time on Monday at home and travel 1: 1 to the first away game of this series on Wednesday in Boston.

Bruins striker Taylor Hall shot the game into extra time in the 58th minute, with Brad Marchand shooting the guests to victory after 39 seconds. The most recent eleven play-off duels between the two teams, since game seven in the first round in 1998, were decided with just one goal difference.

The Carolina Hurricanes started their play-offs with a 5-2 win over the Nashville Predators and Colorado Avalanche with a 4-1 win over St. Louis Blues.
