Heavy rain over central and northern Alberta

Rain is forecast over a large area of ​​Alberta on Tuesday. Cold air from the Northwest Territories will move south so the rain will change to snow in the evening.

At present, the amount of snow remains uncertain as ground temperatures are quite high.

A maximum of 7 degrees celcius is forecast for Fort McMurray and Peace River; 5 for Grande Prairie, 15 for Red Deer and Lac La Biche, 13 for Edmonton and 9 for Jasper.

Possible repercussions include poor road conditions from Tuesday evening to Wednesday morning as well as a risk of broken tree branches due to heavy, wet snow accumulation.
