Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Director of Social Rehabilitation for Victims of Abuse of Narcotics, Psychotropics and other Addictive Substances (RSKP NAPZA) Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos), Victorious Siahaan, admitted that he had ordered an employee of the Ministry of Social Affairs named Yahya to delete the data after Corruption Eradication Commission (NCP) conducted a Hand Catch Operation (OTT) related to the alleged corruption in the procurement of packages Covid-19 social assistance.
Victor explained the reason he ordered the deletion of the data because he felt sorry for Yahya, who did not know anything about the alleged rasuah case.
This was revealed in the follow-up trial of the suspected Covid-19 social assistance (bansos) corruption case with the former Social Minister Juliari Peter Batubara et al.
“So to be honest, Yahya is an honorary staff member and apologizes for a bit later, what I know is Yahya honorer for my Subdit recommendation from brother Joko. [Matheus Joko Santoso, terdakwa]. Well, on that basis [memerintahkan menghapus data], “said Victor in response to the public prosecutor, the Corruption Crime Court (Tipikor) Jakarta, Monday (17/5).
He explained that Yahya could serve as an honorary staff at the Ministry of Social Affairs because he was recommended by Matheus. Therefore, he took steps so that those concerned would not be dragged into the vortex of the alleged Covid-19 social assistance corruption case that ensnared Matheus.
“I’m sorry to see him. My mind is, he made Joko do the document on the basis of OTT Joko, he followed,” said Victor.
“What documents? What makes you suspect Yahya made documents for Joko?” asked the prosecutor.
“One of Yahya’s abilities is making contract documents. It turns out that after talking on the recorded phone, I met him for a few days, on Monday I asked again if you were ever asked to make Joko a document? He said ‘never sir’,” replied Victor.
Prosecutors also played recorded conversations between Victor and Yahya during this trial. Victor confirmed the recording.
In this case, Juliari was charged with accepting a bribe worth a total of IDR 32,482,000,000 in connection with the appointment of a Covid-19 social assistance provider partner at the Ministry of Social Affairs.
In detail, Juliari received money from a legal consultant, Harry Van Sidabukke, amounting to Rp1.28 billion; President Director of PT Tigapilar Agro Utama, Ardian Iskandar Maddanatja, amounting to Rp1.95 billion; and other Covid-19 social assistance providers worth IDR 29,252,000,000.
