New York, USA.- The Mayor of New York, Bill de Blasio, reported that he is working with state officials to offer free vaccines to visitors to the city, as a way to encourage them to visit the Big Apple and stimulate tourism.
We’ll set up mobile vaccination sites at iconic #NYC spots to provide the Johnson & Johnson vaccine to anyone who needs it — and if the State gives us approval, we’ll include the tourists who are coming back in droves.
Mobile units will carry injections of a dose of Johnson & Johnson to Times Square, Brooklyn Bridge Park and other popular places, de Blasio said Thursday during a briefing on the virus.
“We believe that this is a positive message to send to tourists,” said the mayor, “come here and we will take care of you.”
The city plans a $ 30 million marketing blitz to recharge its tourism industry.

Capacity restrictions in restaurants, shops and shows will be lifted on May 19 as COVID-19 cases decline and vaccines increase, Governor Andrew Cuomo said this week.
In addition, it was reported that Broadway tickets for September shows went on sale today.
