Holding Graz is working in coordination with the City of Graz to counteract the decline in annual ticket customers at Graz Linien due to the Corona crisis. Holding Graz CEO Wolfgang Malik: “With innovative sales campaigns, we want to increase the acquisition of the” Annual Pass Graz “and thus the sales revenue for Holding Graz and promote smart urban mobility in Graz.”
Regular and new customers benefit equally
Malik continues: “When purchasing the“ Graz Annual Pass ”, which is still inexpensive, there are now further advantages for all customers, but especially for those who use or want to use the innovative mobility offer tim. Our goal is to boost sales of the Graz annual pass, to win back regular customers and to inspire new customers for public transport and our multimodal mobility offers around tim. This goes hand in hand with making the use of public transport more attractive for shopping in downtown Graz and raising awareness in general, as well as providing an incentive for multimodal mobility offers. “
Holding Graz board director Mark Perz: “For customers this means that when purchasing or renewing a Graz annual ticket between July 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022, Graz vouchers worth € 20 will be issued.” The vouchers can be redeemed as a Holding Graz product at listed retailers in Graz or with the mobility offer tim. Perz: “Vouchers are issued directly in the mobility and sales center when purchasing the Graz annual ticket, and by post when purchasing via the online shop.”
“Tim” membership and annual fee are no longer applicable
In addition, the previously valid “Multimodal Premium Package” for holders of the “Annual Pass Graz” will be extended. Malik: “This means that the tim fee of 7 euros per month (ie a total of € 84 per year) and the one-time registration fee of € 15 are automatically omitted when purchasing an annual ticket for zone 101.”
Graz voucher can be used for smart mobility
In order to strengthen smart multimodal mobility, a special additional sales-promoting incentive is being offered for the period from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022. When redeeming Graz vouchers worth € 20 in the “tim” service center, “tim” customers can use an e-car sharing vehicle from the “tim” fleet for 1x 8 hours or Book 2x 4 hours. Malik: “We assume that this premium offer for regular customers will not only increase sales for the “Annual Pass Graz”, but also for the Holding Graz mobility offer “tim” in the future. This also makes an important contribution to “multimodal mobility” and to achieving environmental goals. “
“Annual Pass Graz” and innovative mobility in Graz for a one-off € 196
A calculation example shows the financial advantages of the new offer: After the annual price adjustment by the transport association, the annual ticket for Graz will cost € 315 – still cheap compared to Austria. With the “Annual Pass Graz” customers of Graz Linien save not only the € 15 tim membership (registration fee) but also the monthly membership fee of € 84 (12x € 7). In addition, there are Graz vouchers worth € 20 for each “Annual Pass Graz” (can also be redeemed at tim). That means: If you buy an “Annual Pass Graz” for € 315 and use tim as a perfect mobility supplement, you can do this for € 196 per year:
€ 315 annual ticket Graz – € 15 tim registration fee – € 84 annual membership fee – € 20 Graz vouchers = total cost of € 196
In addition, there is the already mentioned free use of e-car sharing vehicles from the tim fleet for 1x 8 hours or 2x 4 hours.
mayor Siegfried Nagl: “With this sales-promoting measure by Holding Graz, we are boosting the Graz economy. In the best case, this is up to € 800,000. We implement this on the one hand through the sale of the “Annual Pass Graz”, on the other hand the Graz vouchers benefit the Graz economy and thus remain with the local dealers. “
Vice Mayor Mario Eustacchio: “Especially in these difficult economic times, promotional measures for the retail trade and the preservation of numerous jobs are of great importance. By promoting the “Annual Pass Graz” with € 20 in the form of a Graz voucher, we are making public transport more attractive and helping the Graz retail sector to compensate for the losses of the last few months. “
