Jakarta –
Sadness still surrounds Tompi and his family. The mother passed away on Friday (23/4/2021) in Medan, North Sumatra due to contracting COVID-19.
The incident is still an impression on Tompi’s heart. The reason is, the mother was hit COVID-19 for doing homecoming in the month of Ramadan. Tompi allowed the mother to return to her hometown of Lhokseumawe.
This was revealed by Tompi through an IG Story upload on the @dr_tompi account. The Salahkah chanter tells the chronology of his beloved Mother’s death.
“Approaching the fasting month, he wants to return to Aceh. He misses his father’s grave, brother, to meet his extended family in Aceh. Then he asked for permission to go home, with notes at home, keep a distance to wear a mask,” said Tompi in IG Story videos.
The 42-year-old man did not expect that his mother’s return to Aceh would be his last moment in the world. Tompi told him that one of his siblings there tested positive for COVID-19.
Unfortunately, this is not realized by anyone. The virus actually attacked Tompi’s mother, who was enjoying the atmosphere in her hometown.
“My mother was not sick for long, had a fever. The second day I was just about to check for Covid and was positive. After sahur I immediately sent my mother to get treatment. Saturation from 98 down to 94. I’m getting worried, “he said.
Tompi immediately prepared his mother to be rushed to the hospital. However, the limited health facilities in her hometown hampered her mother’s recovery process.
The ambulance that had been called since morning only arrived at 4 pm. At that time, the mother’s condition had worsened with the saturation level decreasing. Tompi who was on the way to meet him was too late.
“I went to Medan to meet my mother there. But Allah has given me that much time. Just got on the ambulance, the saturation was getting lower. In a state of calm, silence, my mother passed away,” he said.
Limited health facilities make the mother unable to get help when she is infected with COVID-19. Listen to the next page, Mother.
