Silvio Berlusconi was released from Milan hospital on Saturday. The former Italian prime minister was admitted this week for complications related to his infection with the coronavirus last year.

“He is eager to return to full activity,” said his party coordinator Forza Italia, Antonio Tajani, after Berlusconi’s exit. The latter, aged 84, managed to leave the San Raffaele hospital in Milan, avoiding the objectives of the photographers and cameramen who had gathered in front of the door of the establishment.
He was admitted to hospital on Tuesday, for the fourth time this year. In September, after recovering from Covid-19, he said he was close to death. He left the same establishment on May 1, after a stay of more than three weeks, still to treat the after-effects of the Covid-19 he had contracted in September.
The billionaire, who underwent a major open heart operation in 2016, has increased hospital stays in recent months: in March he spent several days in the Milan hospital, officially for scheduled medical checks.
In February, he had spent a night in hospital following a minor fall while in January, he had spent several days at the Cardio-thoracic Center in Monaco for cardiac arrhythmia problems. And in September, he was hospitalized with a lung infection from Covid-19.
