Latvian volleyball players in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Saturday lost 0: 3 to the home team in the penultimate game of the 2021 European Championship qualification tournament.

Even before the match against the hosts of the field, the Latvian national team did not even have a theoretical hope of winning a place in the final tournament. At the end of the qualification, Latvian volleyball players will still play against the Czech Republic in Zenica on Sunday.

At the beginning of the second race, the Latvians lost to Slovenia 1: 3 on Friday. In the F group represented by Latvia, the Czechs play without losses, the Bosnia / Herzegovina team has three victories and is guaranteed to enter the final tournament, but the Slovenians have achieved two successes. The Latvian national team has lost in all games.

The final of the European Championship is scheduled for August and September in Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria and Romania. In addition to qualifying, the place in the final is already guaranteed to 12 national teams – four national teams and the eight best teams from previous European Championships – Turkey, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, Germany, Russia, Belgium and Azerbaijan.

The remaining 12 places in the final tournament will be taken by the winners of six qualification groups and the second place winners.
