During a routine test on arrival at the Eurovision Song Contest to be held, a member of the Polish delegation tested positive for covid-19, informs the EBU on its website.

They had last been on site on May 13, and the person who tested positive is now in solitary confinement.

The other members of the Polish delegation, including dancers and the artist himself, must now take a PCR test and then be quarantined.

As a result, Polish artist Rafal Brzozowski will not attend the opening ceremony on Sunday.

The Eurovision Song Contest, which this year is being held in Rotterdam in the Netherlands, writes in the press release that they are grateful for the authorities’ support during the event.

– Our primary goal is to produce a fully corona-safe event. The health and well-being of artists, audiences and those who work with the event is our most important priority. To ensure everyone’s safety, we have put in place a number of strict measures, such as social distancing and regular testing, writes EBU.
