The vaccinations to fight against the pandemic of Covid-19 are going well in the so-called ephemeral center, installed in the hall of the Pays d’Auge, in Vimoutiers (Orne).
At the rate of one session per week, in the capital of the canton, the population aged 60 and over, of Vimoutiers and the surrounding area, as well as priority professionals and people with comorbidities (regardless of age but having previously contacted their doctor or pharmacist), can register with the standard of the Community of communes of the Valleys of Auge and Merlerault (CDC Vam). Vaccination volunteers will be called back to schedule an appointment. The vaccine used is Pfizer.
“We are not losing our hand! “
These sessions are orchestrated by Simon Bordeaux, CDC Vam agent. It is he who is responsible, among other things, for ensuring the planning and contacting health professionals to form the teams working in the ephemeral centers. This Wednesday, April 28, there are six: doctors Marie-Agnès Tchodibia (Vimoutiers) and Antonio Torres (Gacé) as well as nurses Adeline Huet, working in the retirement home, Audelin-Lejeune (Sap-en-Auge) , Christine de Tavernier liberal nurse (Vimoutiers) and Chantal Couaillet retired nurse (Sap-en-Auge). All intervene during their rest period, except Chantal who, retired, returns to service that day, for the first time in five years.
Pleasure to return to service
When she was active, the nurse worked at the Marescot hospital center. She admits “having had a little stress last night and this morning. I wondered if I was going to find all the gestures ”. Finally “there was no problem! We do not lose control. Next time, I will come back more relaxed ”.
Because it seems that she has put her finger in the gear. “I didn’t think it would make me so happy to be back in service. It feels good to reconnect with people, it’s nice ”. In the conversation we learn that Chantal is the mother of Simon Bordeaux. “Frankly, I myself was undecided about the vaccination. But when my son asked me, it clicked. I immediately said yes and I was vaccinated last week ”. In addition to health professionals, local agents, volunteers (mainly elected officials) as well as volunteer first aiders from civil protection, ensure the reception and follow-up of candidates for vaccination.
Next sessions: Monday May 10 in Vimoutiers, Wednesday May 12 in Gacé.
Registrations in the CDC VAM standard: 02 33 67 54 85.
